nCipher plc (LSE: NCH) a leading provider of cryptographic IT security solutions today announced it is the winner of the Microsoft Certified Partner Awards for Security solution of the Year. The Partner Program Awards recognise Microsoft Certified Partners that have demonstrated excellence in emerging technologies. nCipher was chosen from finalists in the security solution sector for its innovative use of Microsoft's latest technologies to deliver solutions that satisfy customers' security objectives. Award winners were announced at the Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference 2004 held in Toronto.
"Even among so many stellar nominees, nCipher truly distinguished itself in the Security Solution of the Year category," said Allison Watson, vice president, Partner Sales and Marketing Group, Microsoft. "nCipher has all the makings of an outstanding Microsoft partner: a deep understanding of technology, proven expertise in the security industry, and a passion for building solutions that solve its customers' business problems in an innovative way. I know I speak for everyone at Microsoft when I say I look forward to our ongoing relationship with nCipher."
This award is in recognition of nCipher's leadership in cryptographic security with its range of hardware security modules (HSMs) and in particular the recently launched netHSM. "nCipher's HSMs significantly increase the security and performance of a wide range of server platforms and seamlessly integrate with a range of Microsoft's products, including Windows-based PKIs, Windows Server 2003, ISA Server and Rights Management Services" says Tony Crossman, Strategic Partner Manager at nCipher. "By deploying nCipher HSMs in conjunction with Microsoft applications customers can be confident in their ability to ensure customer privacy, protect intellectual property and establish the authenticity of online transactions and information exchanges. This is the second year running we have been a security solution finalists. We are pleased and excited to be winners this year and that our work with Microsoft has been acknowledged through these awards."
